Perception of PV in the built environment

This data on your perception of PV in the built environment is collected in preparation for a research project. All data is processed anonymously, including additional information about your person. A similar study was made by Sánchez-Pantoja et al (2018) on the aesthetic perception of PV integration within ecological architecture.

I would like you to imagine that you walk through a city, where you encounter a variety of PV installations (PV= photovoltaic; solar panels). Some of the 28 installations are applied, some are integrated, some are black, some are colored, and they display a variety of innovation. You may think that one is strongly appalling (bad) or appealing (good) but moderately exciting to you, while another evokes no emotions whatsoever. Whatever it is, there are no false answers.

Your entirely subjective estimations of triggered emotions will be recorded through a Self-Assessment Manikin:
The choices for emotion range from “unpleasant” (1) to “indifferent” (4) to “pleasant” (7).
Excitation may range from “indifferent” (1) to “excitement” (7).

Examples:
very strong dislike = emotion (1) excitation (7)
kind of nice = emotion (5 or 6) excitation (3)
don't care either way = emotion (4) excitation (1)

At the end of the survey, you may also provide free-text feedback on things that you noticed that you liked or disliked about the installations.
